Sana Hastakala offers hand-made stone tableware. Our dinner- and drinkware is hand-thrown and glazed, using glazes that we have developed ourselves. Sana Hastakala supports the artisans to access both the local and international markets, gives them design support and supplies market information.

We provide interest-free loans, training, tools, and equipment, as well as health support through our Community Development Fund. Sana Hartakala is a Fair Trade Organization, established in 1989 with the support of UNICEF.

Kumbeshwar Technical School produces high-quality knitted fashion garments and personal accessories as well as home accessories. These textiles are entirely made from wool, cotton, and other natural fibers, such as banana and ‘allo’ fibers.

We can offer customized, bespoke rugs and have been involved in international art projects. Kumbeshwar Technical School is an organization working to uplift socio-economically underprivileged people through free education, vocational training, and socio-economic support.

SOSAL ARTCENTER re-introduced the art of Date-palm basketry, redesigning the product and functionality in a contemporary way. We aim to maintain this handicraft tradition and provide a sustainable income for many women and households in the Oases.

SOSAL ARTCENTER re-introduced the art of Date-palm basketry, redesigning them into functional contemporary products. Soal maintains a 3000 year old handicraft tradition by marketing contemporary products, conduct younger generation training and provide sustainable income for many women to support children education in the Oases.

Bio products are used from the Saharan date palm for production of baskets, rugs, boxes; made from the palm tree fronds. Combinations with beads, textiles, copper, wire, crochet and recycled glass make them unique. Handmade by artisans in Egypt.

Minima is a South African-made range of digitally crafted wooden lighting and furniture. Hand-finished in Cape Town, each piece is made using sustainable birch-ply wood or bamboo veneer. Designed by Jacques Cronje, our classic range includes Scandi-inspired ceiling lights that are elegantly understated, yet hold their own in commercial or residential spaces. Our new range, launched for the 2016/17 season, takes inspiration from traditional African design and integrates its ‘shweshwe’ pattern into its curved forms.
