The company uses local materials from renewable sources, such as jute, seagrass (locally called Hogla) and Kaisa (a type of grass). “Mony Jute Goods and Handicrafts” was established in 1978 with the vision to substitute conventional, non-biodegradable materials with bio-based products like jute throughout the entire supply chain. To this day the company works on minimizing its carbon footprint.

 

“Good things come in small packages”: The company made a long journey starting with a small setup. Over the last 42 years Mony Jute has managed to organize all stages of production under one roof.

 

In the weaving section more than a hundred varieties of jute fabrics have been developed and the yearly capacity is two million meters.

 

Fabrics can be printed in the in-house printing section and made into finished products in the stitching unit. Mony Jute manufactures a wide variety of jute bags and home décor items.

 

The company’s longtime experience and in-house facilities make it easy to develop tailor made products and designs.

 

Mony Jute caters to importers/wholesalers and retail chains in Europe and Asia.

BaSe was founded in 1977 to promote handmade products from Bangladesh. The producer groups, consisting of around 10.000 producers (99% are women), actually own the company.

Classical Handmade Products specializes in handmade carpets and rugs. All our rugs and carpets are made by hand from natural fibers and recycled materials. Classical Handmade Products is an exporter of these goods and has much experience in working with European clients.

Most of our employees are women, and we establish our factories close to their residential areas. The women who work at Classical Handmade Products factories come to work on foot and do not have to move to the city. This benefits families in northern Bangladesh. Classical Handmade Products is in the process of verification thought the WFTO Guarantee System.

Saidpur Enterprises has been in existence for more than 40 year and comprises two groups: Action Bag and Eastern Screen Printers. At Action Bag the women artisans make a variety of bags and baskets of jute and recycled fabrics (mainly sarees).

These fabrics are beautifully stitched together with the traditional Kantha work; running stitches embroidered by hand. Eastern Screen Printers specializes in the design and production of greeting cards adorned with many different materials and decorations.
