At Bengal Craft all our baskets, floor mats and rugs are crafted by hand using traditional methods. The raw materials we use are all local and naturally grown or recycled. We try to ensure that our entire production process, from the design to the selection of materials and techniques, is as respectful as possible towards the environment.

JNDP Crafts is a Fair-Trade organization, established in 1999 with the aim of creating jobs for people who need these most, improving the socio-economic condition of the producers and their communities.

The company specializes in handmade products for home and garden, using locally available environment-friendly raw materials, both recycled and natural fibers.

The choice in recycled materials is very wide, ranging from recycled fabric and paper to packaging materials and cutoffs from garments production.

Raw materials from natural sources are collected by the company in collaboration with artisan groups. The fibers come from renewable sources.

Artisan Hut is focused on fair trade and preserving the environment. Throws and cushion covers are woven on handlooms using organic cotton yarn. All embroidery is done by hand. In line with the company’s commitment to be socially and environmentally responsible, Artisan Hut is in the process of becoming a WFTO Guaranteed fair trade company

Initially working with only 2 people, the company now has a factory with more than 70 artisans.
