Nikone Handcraft is a handloom weaving center based in Vientiane, Laos. They manufacture handwoven textiles. Nikone mixes traditional style with modern design. They specialize in continuous complimentary weaving: the pick up technique. They use local materials such as silk, cotton and jungle vine.

Nikone is dedicated to working with environmentally friendly practices and offering opportunities for local women. They employ up to 50 women, who dye, weave and sew the textiles. Nikone is a family business, run by Lanoi, the daughter of Rassanikone Nanong, who established the business in 1992.

In Laos, textiles represent community, belonging, and identity. We believe that by elevating artisanal crafts, investing in knowledge and skills passed down from generation to generation, time-honoured techniques can be kept alive and thriving.

Passa Paa creates beautiful handcrafted cushion covers for home interiors. With our studio based in Laos we work alongside hand-stitch applique artisans and handwoven hemp producers resulting in high quality unique textiles appealing to the global consumer. We combine traditional techniques with our contemporary textile screen print designs which we print in house.

Our products each have a story to tell, of crafts passed from generation to generation. We are committed to working within fair trade principles and supporting our community of skilled crafts people to enable their skills to grow and thrive for many years to come.

Her Works showcases the beauty of handicrafts made by women in Laos. The word “HER” emphasizes the hard work of women behind our production process. They harvest, spin and dye natural fibers to weave textiles.

Our home collection integrates contemporary design and unique traditional handicraft skills of Lao ethnic women. We encourage ethical living by using indigenous materials and handmade processes such as embroidery, weaving and hand-stitching.

Her Works is a woman-owned small enterprise based in Vientiane that wants to provide work and income to female producers from the many different ethnic groups in Laos.

Tai Baan Crafts is based in Laos and brings eco-friendly fashion and home textile products to the market. Our products are all woven by hand and beautifully textured. The textiles are made of yarn that is hand spun and hand dyed using natural dyes. The weavers use locally sourced natural materials such as indigenous organic cotton.

All Tai Baan products are made by village artisans from the different ethnic groups of Laos. Tai Baan Crafts is a provisional member of WFTO and therefore abides by the 10 principles of fair trade.

Ock Pop Tok makes textiles for the home, including rugs, cushion covers, throws, wall art, table runners and placemats. With more than 20 years of experience in textiles, we bring you the best of what Laos has to offer.

All our products are handwoven by artisans from around Laos using the finest materials (handspun cotton primarily here) and remunerating fairly the artisans.

Founded by British Jo and Laotian Veo, Ock Pop Tok, which means “East Meets West” in Lao, is based in Luang Prabang, Laos.
